Are your models freeware? How and when do I get my passwords? Help! My password doesn't work! I made a repaint for your model. Can I share it with others? Why don't you do my favorite road name? Will you do models for Auran's TRAINZ? Do I have to buy online? Can I pay by mail? Help! I can't run the installer. Lost passwords, can you resend them to me? What will you release next? When can I get it? Q: What is this site? A: Dekosoft Trains is an independent producer of 3-D models for Microsoft Train Simulator. Here you can download highly detailed, interactive locomotive models and freight car replicas for the program. Q: Are your models freeware? A: We have some freeware models, such as our GP35 and SD38-2 demos as well as our freight cars. Our Pro Edition and Collector's Edition sets however are not freeware. You can download the items you want on each download page, then complete your purchase through our PayPal shopping cart. Passwords for the items you bought will be sent to you through e-mail. Q: How and when will I get my passwords? A: Once we process your PayPal order, your passwords and/or keycodes will be e-mailed to the address which you used. Please allow up to 24 hours for delivery. Most orders placed during normal business hours (East coast USA) are completed much sooner. Check our news section for holiday closings or service delays. Also, note that some e-mail services may block e-mail from unknown senders (e.g., aol.com). Contact help at dekosoft.com if you believe your e-mail is blocked. Q: HELP! My password/keycode doesn't work! A: If you're having trouble installing, first check to make sure you have fully downloaded each file. For sets with passwords (16 characters):
A: Any 'skins' (.ace files) that you create using our repaint templates are yours to share. However, only the models we've designated as freeware may be uploaded or redistributed in total. In other words, you can share your original graphic files for any of the models, but don't include any .s, .eng, .sd or any other files not designated as freeware. Q: Why don't you do my favorite road name? A: We're a small group so don't have unlimited resources, but we try to accomodate requests as time allows. Also we have a lot of works-in-progress so may have what you want just around the corner. Sign up to the mailing list for updates or visit the user forum. Q: Will you do models for Auran's TRAINZ? A: We are not producing models for TRAINZ at this time. Q: Do I have to buy online? Can I pay by mail? A: We currently deliver our products and accept payment through the Intenet only. However, you don't have to have a credit card; you can also make payments by check or money order through PayPal -- the system is easy, reliable, secure and we've had very few complaints since we started. Q: Help! I can't run the installer. First, make sure you have completely loaded the archive. If the installer program runs, but won't unlock, make sure you have copied the password EXACTLY as sent (no extra spaces) and note that it is case sensitive. (Try cutting and pasting directly from the password e-mail.) Also, you may need to disable antivirus software during the installation. Q: The dog ate my password. Can you resend it to me? A: Yes, verified customers can get replacement passwords at no charge. Please provide date of purchase and your PayPal receipt if you can -- sometimes the same dog eats our record books. ;-) Q: What will you release next? When can I get it? A: Get on the mailing list -- we usually give priority to mailing list subscribers before making announcements to the general public on message boards. Also some announcements may only be made through e-mail. |
